Terms

The terms for using this website. They're short, because the site does very little: it explains the work, publishes some of the method, and gives you direct ways to contact us.

Engagements are a different document. The Operations Assessment and any rebuild are governed by a written engagement letter signed by both sides. Where these website terms and an engagement letter disagree, the engagement letter wins.

What this site is — and isn't

This site is information about how we work, plus direct ways to start a conversation. Nothing here is an offer you can accept by clicking: there is no checkout, no subscription, and nothing that renews. Work begins only when both sides sign an engagement letter, and the fee is stated in writing before that signature.

Getting in touch

Calling or emailing us asks us to get in touch. It creates no obligation in either direction — you owe nothing, and we may honestly answer “not yet” or “no.” Please send accurate information; the screening only works when the facts are real. How we handle information you choose to send is covered by the privacy policy.

The published material

The tests, formulas, and methods on this site are the methods this firm works by, published as general information so you can check our work. They are not advice about your specific operation, and they don't replace your own accountant, lawyer, or judgment. Restaurants differ; run the arithmetic on your own numbers before acting on anything here.

Using what we publish

Read it, print it, forward it — some pages exist to be forwarded. What you may not do is republish this site's content as your own, or use the OpsRefresh name to suggest an affiliation that doesn't exist.

For clients: the plan you paid for is yours, per the engagement letter. Nothing in these website terms narrows that.

Links to other sites

Where a page cites a study or a release, we link to the source so you can read it yourself. We don't control those sites, and a citation isn't an endorsement of everything on the far end of it.

Accuracy, warranties, and liability

We work to keep this site accurate, and the dates on its pages tell you when something last changed. Still, the site is provided as-is: we can't promise a website is free of errors, and to the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for losses that come from relying on the website alone. The real promises about your operation are the specific, written ones in an engagement letter.

Changes

When these terms change, the date at the top changes with them.
